Moving this Blog to Containers

I’ve been working on moving this blog to a container, not the first attempt I make, It went a little unplanned the first time, I didn’t take any precautions and I did on the live instance, I didn’t have that much traffic then, so it was sort of fine, not this time, I have another instance.

The other instance is

http://docker.allthingscloud.info/

It’s running on IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) in Azure :

  • Ubuntu 16.04
  • Docker 1.13
  • 2 Containers, one with MySQL and the other with WordPress as shown in the picture below:

As I’m still getting familiar with the way Docker works, I still have to:

  • Map the address to https:// as my default .  Done, using a Let’s Encrypt Certificate.

I’ll get there. I got there 😀

I installed Oh My Zsh – https://github.com/robbyrussell/oh-my-zsh to modify the looks and do heaps of stuff from zsh directly

This blog so far has run on:

  • Azure Web Apps
  • SaaS
  • And now containers

So, I do have another instance of this blog running on Containers
